Storytelling has always been more than an art to me — it’s a calling. A divine rebellion.
A journey that began not with ink and paper, but with questions that echoed through my soul.
Why are some voices glorified and others silenced? Who decides what version of truth becomes history?
And what if mythology was never meant to be static, but alive — evolving, breathing, even bleeding?
Each of my books is born from these questions. They don’t merely entertain; they confront. They challenge. They unravel centuries of accepted narratives and ask readers to look deeper — beyond the divine masks, beyond the tales we were told as children, into the grey spaces where dharma, desire, and defiance collide.
I Met Parashurama was the beginning — my first mythological strike. A thought experiment that turned into a journey of rediscovery: What if Parashurama, the immortal warrior sage, still walks among us? From there, my pen refused to rest.
Escaping the Unknown took me — and my readers — into uncharted territory, both physically and psychologically. Set on the mysterious North Sentinel Island, it’s a tale of survival, identity, and the madness that brews when the known world ends.
And then came Dhantasura — not just a book, but a war cry. A mythological epic that dares to ask: What if the so-called demon wasn’t evil, but simply unheard?
The first part, War of Justice Against the Gods, reimagined ancient tales through the eyes of the oppressed — the Asuras who were written out of glory. It sparked a rebellion of thought, a call to question the divine order itself.
Now, the fire spreads with Dhantasura 2: Unleashing a Revolt Against the Gods — a continuation of the uprising.
The silenced have found their voice, and the gods must now answer. In this chapter of vengeance and awakening, the line between divinity and tyranny blurs, and the war for justice begins to burn brighter than ever.
Because in the world of my stories, mythology isn’t memory — it’s revolution.
Where gods fall, demons rise, and truth is never simple.

Maitra KhatriVerified Flawless weaving of Indian and Indonesian Mythology and History I started this book thinking it’s a Mythological Fiction but no it's bigger and better than that. This book combines:- Indian Mythology and History- Indonesian Mythology and HistoryAnd all of them are connected very brilliantly. When I started this book I was very excited because Dhantasur is a brand new character, we have not heard about him. And then suddenly the book starts with a very well know story and we instantly know where this is heading. I must say I loved how the author has used the opening ending of Ganesh’s origin to build upon. The character writing is very strong. The author has took care of very minute details such as Dhanta not knowing what a house look like. All in all great world building. Also the author has described some less know things from Indian Mythology which I barely found on the internet after a good long research. So yeah great work. Also author has used 2-3 popular incidents from Indian Mythology to connect with Dhanta’s story which gets connected flawlessly. Dr. Monidipa DuttaVerified Mindblowing This book has stories of Devatas and Ashuras. As the title suggests, this book has the story of Dhantasura, but where and how did it all start? You get to read it here in a very easy language.Being a Bengali, I've always loved the tale of Mahishasura Mardini Durga. And this book starts with the war between Indra and Mahishasura, which is very detailed. From the beginning itself, the thing that grabbed my attention was how detailed the war was between Indra and the other Devatas against Mahishasura.Whilst in the making of Dhantasura, we also read the story of Mahabali, who was powerful yet kind, and the story of nectar and how the Devatas (Indra) deceived him. We read about Gajasur as well.Shiva killing Gajasura was very powerfully written.I felt a bit sad for Dhanta, as he lost everything he had, and that made him vengeful. Dhanta's scenes with Hari Dasa (he was some other deity, though) were very knowledgeable.Chapters 18, 19, and 20 were written with much conviviality.Moving further, and after reading all the details, we see how Dhantasur bit by bit wins the war and gathers the army to defeat Shiva. The role of Nandi was overwhelming (for the first time ever in my life, I liked him).I was enjoying the enthusiastic conversation between Dhantasur and Parvati (as Yogeshwari) when a realisation dawned upon me: "Gods did Adharmic things too, but don't they realise their fault that led an innocent child to become like this?" But what came next was very cathartic for me as well. The ending sent an electrifying sensation through my body. I won't reveal it, and for that, I'll highly recommend that you read the book. What I think of the book:My heart hurt for Dhanta; I really felt sad for him and angry at the gods, but I also had faith that everything would be restored. Shiva, being the wisest of all, would fix the mistake. He did. I was very happy with the ending, and the shloka at the end was satisfying. The chronological order of the book was very accurate, and it is evident that the author had done much research on it before penning it down.We have been reading a lot of nonfiction stories about gods, but this tale of Dhantasur, which is derived from and charismatically created by Jayanth Dev, is worth much appraisal. He has increased my interest in reading his other books. Remember, Dhantasur is a trilogy, and if this is how the first book is, I wonder what surprises are waiting for us in the next books. So go grab your copy and read it.P.S the cover is really amazing.
Jayanth Dev returns with explosive new chapters in his mythological universe — where forgotten truths rise, and the war for justice deepens.
